Big Game House Party Prep Tips
Have Enough Food
Make sure you have great food and enough of it! People like to eat finger foods, typically chips, dips, and BBQ while watching the big game. Hot dogs and/or sausage are a great, inexpensive choice that can feed a lot of people! Fruit and veggie trays are always a big hit as well. Find a great store like Tom Thumb that carries a large selection so you have variety to pick from. You really can’t go wrong unless you run out of food so be prepared and stock up!
Have enough tableware
Make sure you have all the tableware such as cups, silverware, plates, napkins etc. It is a bummer if your guests don’t have what they need to eat all the yummy food you prepared. Make a list before you go to the store of everything you need and everyone coming. Tom Thumb carries some really cool tableware prints if you want to do something besides the plain Jane white! Don’t forget to take into consideration that kids might use more than 1 plate, cup, fork, napkin etc and account for spills or mishaps that might occur. Always better to have some to save for next time instead of running out during the big game!
Don’t forget the Drink Station
Some of your guests might not eat so you want to make sure you have plenty of drinks available to them. I like to have a variety of coffee, water and plenty of ice cold Dr Pepper®! It really is a must-have for our game day parties and get-togethers. Everyone always asks for the Dr Pepper® at my house so we make sure we have plenty of it on hand as well as lots of ice!
