6 Must-have Office Items for a Professional Appearance by Jolene Blackbourn.
There are a million things I could recommend you keep in your desk at work. I always have to have back up food, socks, you name it. But really, there are 6 items that really, you just need. And you should also have these items in your car so that if something happens on the way to work, you can enter looking professional.
Stain removal stick/wipes

Seriously, a must. It will happen, it is just a matter of time. They have travel sizes for both options so you don’t have to spend much more than a few dollars to maintain this professional aspect. I prefer the stick because you can blot on that liquid and it really concentrates on the stain and gets it out.
Wrinkle Release

Also, a must. Seat belts can ruin an outfit. Wrinkles look so unprofessional. Spray a little wrinkle release on your outfit, even while wearing it, and you will look 100% better. Even if you only get out some wrinkles, it will make a difference. This can also be purchased in travel size which is perfect for the car.
Deodorant
Just trust me. Maybe you forgot. Maybe it’s just a bad day. There will come a time where you will really wish you had this. And you only need a travel size because hopefully this is just a backup.
Breath refresher (gum, mints, whatever!)

You don’t want people to think you have bad breath. And if you are working on a project with someone, sitting close, or sharing office gossip, they will notice bad breath. So just have something handy, just in case.
Febreeze and/or spritz
Sometimes the room smells, or you smell or someone ate smelly food. I don’t know, but if you want to ensure that you aren’t embarrassed down the road, just get some. Again, a travel size will do. And don’t buy a room spray. Those things over do it for something as small as an office/cubical. A light spritz or Febreeze, which is neutral, works much better and won’t bother your neighbors.
Fashion tape
Mostly for women but really, it keeps clothes in place. You never know when something unexpectedly does not fit right, pops off or whatever. A little bit of tape could really save you. Keep it, just in case.
Until next time…..
Great list! Though have never heard of Fashion tape before! It sounds great. I need to check it out!

When I worked as a secretary for a technical company I had every single one of those exept of the tape! That I guess I should go and buy, it seems pretty handy!
I’ll definitely be trying some of these must haves! Thanks for sharing
For me, it is all about the deodrant and breathe mints, Super important to be fresh throughout the whole day.

Interesting list of must have items. The breathe freshener is a great idea especially if you are visited often by people with bad breathe, you can have one yourself and offer them one too.
I have to get three things in this list – The Tide To Go, the Downy Wrinkle eraser and the Flash tape. You can never know when accidental spills would happen and losing a shirt button is not a pleasant experience. It would be best to always be prepared.
What a great list of must haves, I hadn’t heard of a couple of these products. I love fashion tape though, I use it all the time!

To be honest I wasn’t expecting that. But when I think about it, we need all these things in our office. I would add something for the shoes
I’m so thankful I work from home! I’m going to keep an eye out for the green tea mints. I always have something like this in my purse!
I taught middle school and was stocked up with all of these, I used my tide stick almost daily seems I was always getting something on my clothes!
For my office I think I need some static guard. A lot of dresses I’ve been wearing lately ends up being so static-y.

Like your list of must haves. Thanks for sharing
I love shout it out wipes! We travel with them everywhere! They really work, but I don’t have as much success with the Tide pen.
I definitely have to second the wrinkle releaser! I don’t know what I’d do without that stuff!!;) The deodorant is also a really great tip that most of us probably don’t think of, but I’ve had a couple “scares” in my life where I’ve shown up to work and couldn’t remember if I applied that morning haha;) ~Bree

These are all great tips for what to keep in the office! Mints always come in handy 🙂 especially after lunch! I also love keeping hand lotion at my desk just in case my skin gets dry!
I never knew fashion tape even existed. Thank you for telling us about it because it will certainly come in handy for me.
