Growing up I have very fond memories of my mom in the kitchen making us breakfast! The aroma of whatever she was making always made its way down the hallway and into our rooms forcing us to get out of bed! One of my favorite things she would make, and still does, is the best Sausage and Egg Casserole! I don’t make it as good as she does but I sure try! It has now become a tradition at our house on the weekend and especially the holidays for breakfast! It’s so easy to make and packed rich with nutrients from the dairy like protein, carbohydrates and important vitamins and minerals.
The milk and cheese in the casserole help fuel the body and contribute to a well-balanced diet. I am all about feeding my family fresh, wholesome products and supporting our local Dairy Farmers. Did you know that 97% of dairy farms are family-owned and operated and the milk your family drinks is probably from a farm near your neighborhood, contributing to the farm-to-table movement. That is super cool and definitely a conversation piece when you are sitting around eating your Sausage and Egg Casserole.
