Vertical Storage
If you don’t have enough cabinets and drawers to store all your stuff, build up. Shelves are versatile and come in an array of different shapes, sizes and colors, so you’re sure to find something that works for you and your space.
Have a Recycle Bin Under the Sink
Garbage tends to collect in the bathroom, but have you ever stopped to consider how much bathroom trash is recyclable? Think about it: Paper towel tubes, tissue and soap boxes, bottles and jars should all be recycled instead of thrown away. Put a small recycling bin under the sink (so that people don’t confuse it for a trash can) and empty it into your larger blue bin whenever you see it start to fill up.
Silverware Storage in Drawers
You can find plastic or wire silverware organizers for cheap at almost any home goods store. Measure your bathroom drawers and buy an inexpensive one for things like toothbrushes, toothpaste, nail files and shaving razors. They are incredibly adaptable and best of all, they are easy to clean. Lift it out of the drawer and either hand wash or slip in the dishwasher!
Towel Hooks
Have you ever noticed those little key hooks that are so cute, but you can’t justify buying them for any reason? Now you can! Instead of hanging wet towels on a towel bar, hang hooks near the shower for them. Towel bars can take up a lot of valuable wall space, and hooks will do that same job while using a much smaller area. They serve a double purpose of cleaning up your latrine while decorating it.
Big or small, organizing a bathroom takes a little bit of extra thought. Once you start to go through and purge and put things in order, the job will seem less daunting and you will have a fresh, clean bathroom smiling back at you.
