If you want to do something special for your mom, you can take her to the Mother’s Day Music Festival in Fairfax, VA on May 10 this year. Make a Weekend in Fairfax

While in town for the music festival, why not make a weekend of it? Spoil your mom with a shopping spree at Fairfax’s malls, Tysons Galleria, the Shops at Fairfax Square, Mosaic or the Fair Oaks Mall, just to name a few. After shopping take her on a wine journey through the county’s to historic wineries and go on a wine tour or do some wine The two historic wineries are Paradise Springs Winery in Clifton and The Winery at Bull Run in Centreville. The Red Hen offers a fine American dining experience and prides itself on sourcing their ingredients locally. Popular dishes include the meringue, arctic char, smoked salmon terrine, and short ribs.

Have a taste of Germany at the Edelweiss Restaurant and check out their lunch and dinner options which include a gluten-free along with vegetarian menu. It’s a family restaurant with authentic bratwurst, weisswurst, sauerbraten, schnitzels, and pretzels, among other treats. The German decor makes it a unique setting and you’ll be served with a wide selection of German beers and wines. If you want a taste of Mexico, then Don Tequila is the place to eat. The restaurant serves meals prepared from scratch like fajitas, the Don Tequila, Ramon Especial, and choripollo. The bar serves Margaritas, mixed drinks, and Tequila.
