Every year around the holidays I get very nostalgic and creative! It’s easy to do as there is beauty all around us and tons to do! I love all the ideas that pop up in my Pinterest feed and I feel the need to create! My kids of course get their creativity from me and are always ready to join the party! Since it’s starting to really cool down outside in Texas, we love spending the month of December inside, creating memories and on all sorts of awesome holiday crafts like Christmas Tree Pine Cones or Apple Turkeys.
Growing up, I loved creating but my curiosity and creativity got the best of me more times than I care to say but hey those are all character making moment, right!? A couple of ways I remember that always made everything better was crafting and chocolate! Any kind of chocolate would do but the best would be when my Mom would make me hot cocoa! Back in the day it was old school made with boiling water from the oven because when I was a little kid we didn’t even have a microwave yet! They were not invented until I was in the 4th grade(dating myself lo!) Imagine that!
Nowadays, of course, its easy to make hot cocoa and one of our favorites especially while we are crafting during the holidays is Stephen’s Gourmet Hot Cocoa! My kids love the rich and creamy flavor and I love that it’s the perfect treat to serve up during our crafting sessions. I want nothing more than to instill in my kids the love of crafting and using their creativity to their full potential.

Hot cocoa is the best during the winter. It always adds the perfect touch to the season’s festivities.
I have always the festivities and the winter celebrations! And this sounds like a perfect way to charge the kids up for some fun activities! I don’t know if this awesome brand is available here, but I will try to find it! 🙂
Crafting and cocoa will be how we spend many nights in these next weeks, such a great idea. I love that line, as well. I was introduced to it for the first time last year and it made for many yummy family nights. Have a great holiday!
Now that sounds like an evening my girls would love.
Hot cocoa in winter is the best. Salted caramel is my ultimate favourite. Perfect for those cold afternoons.
Seriously, in the winter, a mug of hot cocoa makes ANY activity extra special! Yum!
Yummm – those flavors sounds amazing for hot cocoa!!
We LOVE crafting and cocoa during the holidays too! We even just made Santa Bear Hot Chocolate Melts the other day!
I’m going to admit something here, I’ve never tried hot cocoa. I feel like this is a crime. Stephen’s Gourmet Cocoa sounds delicious, maybe this will be the brand I take the plunge with.

Yum! I LOVE Stephen’s Hot Cocoa, especially the mint truffle and candy cane flavors. Can’t wait to break it out this year. I need to get on that. 🙂
Hot cocoa is a tradition in our house. Once it hits the end of October my son starts asking for it. And crafting for christmas is such a memorable experience. My kids get so excited about it! I’ve only had that brand of cocoa once at my parents and it was amazing!
Ive already polished off a tin of hot cocoa mix by myself- no regrets!
I’d love to hear more of the kind of wintery crafts you get up to with your kids, perfect pairing with hot chocolate though – no better drink! I’m intrigued by the candy cane flavour too.
Hey Kat! We are about to try Reindeer’s made out of TP rolls! Should be fun! Pinterest is our go to for craft ideas! : )
I entered the giveaway. Hot Cocoa is one of my favorite holiday treats. I’ve never tried Stephen’s Gourmet Cocoa but it looks delicious!
