Most people celebrate the Christmas holidays at home with their families but celebrating Christmas at your workplace is always fun especially if you have to actually work on Christmas eve or Christmas day!  It is totally appropriate and custom to have fun during the Christmas holiday with your customers or co-workers and so many festive ways you can do it!  So whether you will be sending out fun customized architecture Christmas cards to your boss or helping decorate the office, here are 6 Fun Ideas how to Celebrate Christmas In the Workplace.

Ugly Christmas sweater 

Almost everyone remembers that horrible Christmas sweater they got as a present of a Santa with a fluffy wool beard or reindeers flying in the night sky! If you were not lucky enough to get one back in the day then it is time you got one for yourself.  Put this sweater on during the holiday season and embrace its ugliness!  Make your Christmas holiday in the office fun by picking certain days for everyone to wear their ugly Christmas sweaters!  You can even have a contest and give away prizes as a fun idea to celebrate Christmas in the workplace!

Decorate the office

It is not entirely Christmas until some decorations  have been hung!  Get to the store and pick out the best Christmas tree and put it up in the middle of the office.  Always make sure it is okay with your superiors first and also check to see what they have on hand before making any new purchases.  Decorate your tree with festive lights and ornaments and invite all the office staff to do the same.   You can always decorate the windows, cubicles, walls or other areas of your workplace to celebrate Christmas!  Having a Christmas photo op prop to remember the eventful day is also a fun idea.

Christmas games

Everyone loves games especially at Christmas time!  What better way to do that than having a secret Santa or White Elephant game in the office? Invite everyone in the office to join in on the games and make it for a time where everyone can get away from their work.  There are plenty of fun office games online that you can choose from and can play them all in one setting or on different scheduled days through out the Christmas holiday.

Pick a theme

You can also make your office Christmas holiday more fun by adding a theme for your party or decorations.  I like the idea of adding a little scare to the mix and making it a nightmare Christmas eve or something like that.  You can do this by adding some skulls, skeletons, and balloons in your dark office corridors or party room.  Whatever them you go with try to make it unique and it will be a fun experience for all.

Plan a special activity

You can also organize a special outside activity like heading out to look at Christmas lights or volunteer at a soup kitchen as a group.  Of course this depends on your holiday budget.  If your budget is small, you can still find other low-budget activities like rewarding the employees who have been exceptional throughout the year or catering in a lunch or dinner at the workplace to celebrate the Christmas season.

Give thanks

As simple as it sounds, don’t forget to give thanks during this Christmas season, even at the workplace.  Be thankful to yourself and to co-workers for working together all year long.  Have an office meeting or party to highlight the success of the company and how the success and dedication of the whole team are needed and appreciated.  Having a thankful spirit will truly rub off on your customers, co-workers and colleagues.
