The Road to Living Forever

Take a walk with me….

Don’t get mad, but somehow we got lost.  I thought I knew where we were going, but it’s so dark I can’t see anymore.  Let’s just follow everyone else…maybe they know the way.  I just keep making the wrong choices and decisions about our course.  Why is this so hard?

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.–Romans 3:23

Do you recognize where we are going?  Have you ever been on this road before?  Let’s just keep going, but this is for sure the wrong way.  We know we are going the wrong way, but so is everyone else!  Not just kind of the wrong way, but we are completely off course!  Okay, so we are lost…we are all lost, we are all sinners.  Well, what’s the big deal?  If we’re all lost or sinners does it even matter?  Where is this road leading if we just keep going the same way everyone else is going?

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.–Romans 6:23

So you’re telling me we are walking on a road that is leading toward death?  We need to change directions immediately…lets get off this road!  We’ve got to find the right way….the road that leads to eternal life!  How do we find that road?  Who’s got the map?  Lets ask Jesus.

Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.–Romans 10:9

Awesome!  This is fantastic…if I believe that Jesus is Lord and confess this belief out loud He will save me from this road to death?  I was so scared on this dark road….but now I’m safe.  I’m so happy, I’m relieved, I’m filled with joy…my heart is singing.  Do you think everyone will come with us?  We’ve got to tell them the good news!

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.–Romans 5:1

It feels so incredible to be saved from the dark and cold road!  I hope everyone finds their way.
