So one of my goals for 2018 is to start my (and my family’s) day off right! Everyone knows one of the best ways to do that is to eat breakfast! I’ve always loved breakfast (especially cereal) but sometimes, hey I gotta admit, I don’t have time. I love quick and easy and want to share with you this little gem that will have you waking up with a smile on your face. No bake easy Brownie Crunch Bars are great for breakfast, snacks, on the go, or just because. Made with Malt-O-Meal Double Chocolate Brownie Crunch cereal, yes I said Malt-O-Meal, just like you used to eat growing up but now they have cereal in case you didn’t know; and this is even a NEW flavor!!
I like to just grab and go in the mornings during the week so we can head out the door to school and my hubby can scoot quickly to work so these breakfast bars can be made a day or two in advance and are a perfect solution! They do deliver a devilishly delicious dose of chocolaty flavor but that’s okay because the oats also pack important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants plus they are gluten-free! The crispy corn puffs are made with real cocoa and topped off with chocolaty marshmallow pieces which are a perfect match for the honey which is an energy source!
Don’t forget the milk and a friend because these are just so yummy and life’s delicious joys are meant to be shared! Did you know Malt-O-Meal® cereals come in over 30 delicious varieties, surely something for everyone in the family. They’re less spendy then a lot of other cereals on the market and oh so tasty. No Bake Easy Brownie Crunch bars
- Prep Time- 15 min
- Cook Time-5 min
- Total Time-20 min
- 5 c. Malt-O-Meal Brownie Crunch (you can crush them if you like, I usually crush 1/2 of the 5 cups)
- 2/3 c brown sugar
- 2 c. Oats
- 2/3 c honey
- 4 tbsp butter
- In large bowl, stir together cereal and oats.
- Over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey and butter.
- Stir frequently, After 4 minutes bring mixture to boil for 1 minute.
- Take mixture and pour over cereal and oats mixture, stir.
- Press into 13×9 greased pan.
- Allow 15-20 minutes for bars to harden.
- Cut into 12 long bars of 24 shorter bars and enjoy!
